I really hope HDHomeRun keep up the good fight with A3SA in order to be able to decrypt the encrypted 3.0 signals. The ATSC 3.0 tuner box has all the hardware needed and meets all of the government specifications to do so. However theA3SA is denying their ability to do so because one of the chips HDHomeRun uses is a "blacklisted" chip manufactured by Huawei. The problem with this argument is that the GTMedia ATSC 3.0 tuner ALSO uses a blacklisted chip from Hauwei (a different chip than the HDHomeRun, but it still appears on the government "ban" list), yet it has A3SA approval for decrypting the ATSC 3.0 channels. It's a double standard for sure.
