M1 and iRule?

Just wondering if our friends at ELK/Ness are following the iRule product progress?

Many other HA companies have supported integration of their products in modules that enable control and monitoring of their HA products. From what I can see from popularity of both products I see a good fit if both were able to be integrated.

Compelling would be the respective value for money propositions both parties bring to the table. To have a platform that allowed the AV side and HA side to be integrated for less than a hundred dollars would further the M1 product?

I can only speak for myself......if it were possible to integrate iRule with M1 I believe would further enhance both products. At some stage looking at their forum community M1 integration was definitely on their products to integrate, then within a few months of making that statement it wasn't?

Just wondering if ELK have had any contact with iRule?

Regards,

Fleetz

I am guessing that the market is probably too small to dedicate resources to this. iRule is also going down the CI route (though I think they're positioning is a little confusing) and the Elk M1 is more of a DIY product. On a personal note, I would love this and it would give me a reason to drop $100 on iRule.

Agree with your comments....I have poked them a couple of times to see if they might be interested in doing a driver for the M1. actually just poked the CEO to see what their current thinking is.

I am planning on dropping $100 on iRules..... just placed an order for the iTach WF2IR interface. Can't help myself! (-:

That said they have some serious HA panels integration modules...eg HAI

The iRule product is a serious interface and used in many high end commercial applications looking on their website. I am going to take the plunge wether they go down the M1 path or not. I got just a positive reply back from the Itai their CEO stating that M1 it is a high priority...... it would seem that they are doing some market research and or having some discussions with the good folk at ELK at CEDIA in Colarado in Sept. So something may well be in the offing?

Personally think this would be a very complimentary interface to the M1.

I remember seeing the iRule at a major online travel site office. So they are definitely in commercial market and recently they were acquired by Kramer Electronics which makes products for  commercial AV integration.

Any update on Elk M1G integration?

I've looked into iRule a few times in the past, but refuse to get involved with something like that until they have an install-able version where I don't have to rely on their servers for any changes and updates to my system.
