Hi,

I can't seem to find this info in the instructions. Is there a way to arm/disarm either area 1 and area 2 from one keypad. Basically I want to be able to switch between area's at one keypad. I used to be a big Napco seller/installer and with Napco you were able to access any of 8 areas from any keypad, Even view the status of all on one screen.
Any info would be great...

Thanks,
Mike

In short, yes, look at page 20 "Menu 0 - Select Keypad Alternate Area - Multi-area (Partition) Operation" of the current install guide here

In a multi-partition situation, you can also create a task and assign it to a button to arm/disarm another area.

Well, since I was restless and up at 4am with nothing to do I played around and was pretty frustrated like you. This falls under "It REALLY should be better documented". After trying many things I finally found the answer on the Elk forum. In order to access Menu 0 you need to enable the area name display for the keypad you want to use. So, In RP go to your keypad definitions screen and check 'Show area name'. Then when you press the Elk/Menu button you can type a 0 and the menu will show up. I tried it and it works... Elk should really add that tidbit to the paragraph on Page 20. Hope that helps...
