M1G "Leave for Work" feature

Is this feature supposed to work only with inputs on the main control board? In stay mode, it behaves correctly for my door to get from the house into the garage, zone 1, but if I open an overhead garage door, zone 33 or 34, the keypad begins a countdown displaying "Entrance=xx" and beeps at a 1 Hz rate. It stops the countdown at "Entrance=1" but the beep continues. It doesn't alarm. I have to enter my user code and disarm the system to stop the beeping.

Firmware 5.1.8. All three zones are force armable. Zone 1 uses entry/exit delay 1, Zones 33 and 34 use entry/exit delay 2.

Hi,

I just tried a quick test and it seems that the "leave for work" feature doesn't work on entry/exit delay 2 zones. My front door is actually a wireless zone and is defined as entry/exit delay 1. It works fine with the "leave for work" mode. I changed it to delay 2 and and soon as the door opens I get the entry delay countdown.

I am not sure if this is "by design" or a bug, but it looks like you will have to lengthen your delay 1 and define the garage doors as delay 1 to use the feature.

Thanks, Paul. I changed the overhead doors to delay 1 and confirmed your diagnosis.

I hope Elk considers this a bug since many of us with cars probably use them when we "Leave for Work." More importantly, the countdown to 1 followed by endless beeping isn't a useful feature.

Regards. . . . John
