I'd like to be able to give the ELK commands via an IR remote, like scenes on/off, have the music turn on when you arrive home and disarm the alarm, open/close IR controlled shades at different times of the day. I know I can do all of this via mainlobby or homeseer, but I'd like to keep as much of the logic out of a PC based environment as I can.
Wayne, from what I understand after talking to Elk, you are correct. I could interface to the Serial 1 bus, but the features are reduced greatly.
