I got 7 of the A19 Feit leds from Costco and they claim 22.8 years and so far 2 of them have gone out in 6 months. The reason I decided to try them is that when they go out I just take em back to Costco and get new ones. Can't do that at Home Depot I don't think. Feit is Chinese junk as most stuff from china is but its not China's fault. It's the greedy american corporations that spec out low quality stuff to be make there to increase profits for the greedy CEO pukes. China is quite capable of making quality stuff. They just don't get the chance very often. Ooops did I rant there??signal15 said:My buddy just bought some Feit A19 replacements at Costco for $15 each. He put them side by side with the new $25 Philips bulbs, and they put out the same amount and color of light. He's returning the Philips.
I was one of the early people to grab these - and I'll say that more than a year later, I'm still fine with them - and I have about 40 of them. None have burned out; they dim just fine (actually they go pretty low, but you have to go up to like 45% to get them to turn on; then you can dim down to about 10-15%). I have anywhere from 1 to 9 per switch with no issues.IndyMike said:Not to put words in ellisr63 mouth, but..
I've been using the following from lowes for some time (bathrooms and outdoor coach lights):
http://www.lowes.com/pd_338802-75774-LA19DM/LED_4294801215__?productId=3341246&Ntt=led&pl=1¤tURL=%2Fpl_Light%2BBulbs_4294801215__s%3FNtt%3Dled%26page%3D3&cm_mmc=aff_gan-_-k244266-_-GAN_1293202976-
They were post many pages ago in this thread. The dim well with neutral referenced dimmers (Insteon), and handle the cold well ( -15F here). At 3000K, I would not call them "soft white" as the Lowes page does. Dispersion is rather narrow, they would not work well in a table lamp.

Have to say, the limitlessLED stuff looks VERY cool, and reasonable cost as well. I will need to read a little more to understand how to tie in to my home automation server (like pairing, etc) and existing wifi routers.
