Looking for recommendations for best motorized shades system to interface with my Homeseer system... could be rf, x10 or prefer zwave. Seen some things... anyone have experience with them? Thanks

There are two aspects here

The motor and the controller.

Any 110VAC motor will do the job, its the controller that you need the smarts in for both interfacing and for motor protoection.

Have a look a t the ESI range of controllers.

I have no experience with the product, but contact with them during my research has been excellent. They appear to have their product used by others as an "embedded" solution from what I have seen.

One of the features I like is the two way protocol they have released - you can get feedback on the position of the blind/curtain etc back to your control system

for zwave i have used esi via draper and techniku. both work fine although the motors are nowhere near as quiet as say lutron.
i just received a rs scene automation shade piece and will test it tomorrow and let you know how it turns out.
