Re: Modem not updating to latest firmware?

Same thing happened to me yesterday as well as thousands of other Comcast customers, I'm sure, all of us unlucky enough to have Motorola SB6121 and SB6141 surfboard modems. I called Comcast to try to resolve the problem but after several unsuccessful attempts by their techs and me to get the modem to function (kept getting a time out error), they said it was a faulty modem. So I called Motorola last night and a rep there stated that they have been inundated with calls from people with Comcast as their ISP since Comcast pushed out a firmware update yesterday. But unfortunately for us, the firmware update is currently not compatible with our models of Motorola modems (even though my modem is only a few months old)...
Model Name: SB6141
Vendor Name: Motorola
Firmware Name: SB_KOMODO-1.0.6.10-SCM00-NOSH
Boot Version: PSPU-Boot(25CLK) 1.0.12.18m3
Hardware Version: 7.0
Serial Number: xyz
Firmware Build Time: Oct 29 2012 18:07:13

Not much info in my logs, but I see 4 bonded downstream channels, which means D3 from what I can tell.
