My Ocelot / CA/IR Receiver has died

This is the Applied Digital unit with a IR Receiver on one end of a four foot cable and a 1/8" stereo plug on the other end. I think that the detector has bought it.

Anyone know what replaces this detector?

The detector is a Vishay TSOP1738 module. Have you checked for a broken solder joint or wire in the cable?

I resoldered all the connections. I had the detector on a 50ft cable, to be closer to the work, and I think the plug slipped out and the 5V. fried the detector.
