New to this and wanted to see if anyone had any feedback on TS Microtech Ip Cams... They are also known as Netzeye in case you cant find them. Well basically im trying to find a good solution and cost effective way to integrate with control 4. They said these cameras would work so any feedback would help.

1. never heard of them before and from our mobile phone cctv app we have heard of quite a few.

2. just taking a quick look at their ip camera section Netzeye. the first camera listed is the camip9100 which looks suspiciously like a rebadged aviosys 9060 aviosys 9060 link

i have a feeling the rest are probably rebranded products from other manufacturers also. geovision is the obvious one for most of the other cams on the page.

Forgive me if I'm being terribly rude, but can the OP please post something to indicate he is not a spam bot? This is a great first post for funnelling people to those camera brands.

Again, apologies if you actually live and breath. And if you don't, then I pray to the almighty that your motherboard fries. ;)

Who would want to buy a re-branded camera - ? Is there that much markup that someone can buy them cheap enough, re-brand them and make a decent profit?

Welcome to CocoonTech!

Though there are a lot of helpful people here, I found when it came to cameras, a great place for info is CCTV Forum. That's where I got a lot of my info.

HTH,

Not that i want to buy a rebranded camera but when i met them at the ASIS Show last year their IP cameras were certified by Control4 & Crestron where other cameras will not work because of the drivers and firmware.

Welcome to the forum "old timer". Put your cigarette out.

I have one of the first gen IP-Kams. Bought it a Geeks dot com. Never integrated it with my ZM. It worked OK video was sub par but web gui worked. I'll have to look for it. Guess I was comparing it to the Panasonic PTZ web cam which I liked a bit more and the Axis PTZ cam. I was able to make adjustments to the Axis PTZ cam because of root access so it was the most flexible. I currently still use the Panasonic web PTZ cam and it works well. POE integration is great. Currently carrying power and video using baluns / Cat5e. I'm wondering if its better to have integrated POE versus an external injector. Almost everybody has a different methodology of using CGI's - etc and internal FW. Some are well documented others are not. Some are written to be flexible other are more propietary and not flexible. I have seen folks using the IP-Kams with ZM (zoneminder) so they've figured out the FW somewhat.

Linksys makes a 16 port rackmount gig switch with full POE, and it's under $300. When I fill up the remaining POE ports on my Juniper switch, I'm going to buy one of these since they are so cheap. It's cheaper than buying injectors, and way cheaper than buying powered patch panels.
