I have been using the DS2405 for one-wire switching applications for the past 2 years. I recently purchased 10 DS2406 (TO92 package).
I assumed the DS2406 could be used as a direct replacement for the DS2405. Unfortunately, I cannot get the DS2406 to communicate relaibly with mcsxap.exe. I have discussed the issue with Michael McSharry and he offered many suggestions. Still I get frequent "device not present" messages. Is anyone using the DS2406 (TO 92) successfully in a mixed network containing DS2405s? And has anyone been able to use the added features of the DS2406? Any suggestions on how to get it working would be appreciated.
