Need help with Ness/ELK M1 phone control

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to setup my ELK/Ness M1 up so that I can control it when I call from my mobile to my home phone which is hooked up to the M1.

It seems that the M1 does not pick up and it just keeps ringing until my phone carrier stops it around 10 rings or so.

I can get to the M1 menu when I press *** on my home phone.

Any ideas ?

Under Globals..Misc do you have Local and Remote Telephone control enabled?

Under global -> Misc, I have option 2 set. Which is both local and remote telephone control.

Were you able to figure this out? I have the exact same situation as you. I can connect via inside phone, but the M1G does not answer outside calls. Same setting (02) as you also.

change the # of rings until answer in globals.

On mine, once the message machine answers I just touch the # (or the *) its one of those and she will prompt you for a passcode. My Elk does not answer my call, but once the line is connected i can access it using the # key. Hope that helps.
