Premise Need premise programer

I need to have some changes made to my home automation configuration. The installer that set this up is no longer available. I am located in Southern California, Los Angeles. Any one that is familiar with Premise sys and would be willing to work on this please contact me.

As you may have gathered, the majority of participants in the Premise forum are Do-It-Yourselfers. If you're willing to describe your desired modifications, the community can help you make them.

Even if you are not into DIY, knowing the scope of the proposed modifications would be helpful. What did you have in mind? Are we talking about changes to programming logic? Addition of new hardware devices? Development of custom drivers?

I am afraid that this is way beyond my basic computer knowledge. But I can give it a try. My digital doorbell has several zones in it, when you right the doorbell it plays music in several zones, I would like to eliminate one of the zones. Also it always gets stock and does not ring. I have to go to premise builder and find the page for the doorbell and unchecked one of the boxes. I would appreciate any help I can get.

Eliminating something doesn't sound too difficult. The 'getting stuck' part may be a bit trickier to fix.

In order to help you, I'd need to know more about how a 'digital doorbell' is implemented in your Premise system. I'm assuming it is a Module developed by the original Premise installer.

In Builder's Shortcut bar (the left-hand column of icons), click Modules and look for something that may be named 'doorbell' in the Explorer window. Alternately, post a screenscrape of Builder's Explorer window here so that I can see the list. Once we identify the doorbell Module, I'll explain how to export and post it. By examining its structure, I'm confident I can determine how to eliminate an unwanted zone ... maybe even figure out why it may not work.

If you search Premise's Help for "Scripts in Premise" you'll discover there are several ways to create programming logic.

In Builder, click Home; here you'll find Instance Scripts ... namely scripts that run whenever an object's property changes (i.e. something happens when a DoorSensor is activated).

In Builder, click Modules; here you'll find Classes, GlobalScripts, Macros, Logic Diagrams, Timers, etc.
