New USB-based mini display

I thought CQC supported the RAD-I/O screens, meaning being able to run multiple instances of the client. Each LCD is basically a video card, so you shouldn't have a problem running multiple of these on 1 system (unless their drivers don't support it).

They do support the RAD-I/O screens. But it is my understanding that the Rad-I/O system simply takes a large display and breaks it into smaller sections that are sent to each screen. So the computer really only "sees" one display device. I know you can only have 1 CQC IV running at a time currently. With the Rad-I/O screen you might make one screen that is 600x800 and the screen would be broken down into smaller 300x200 sizes and you would create your CQC IV with this in mind. But it would be one display and one CQC IV running.

With these devices, each device would appear as it's own separate screen. I'm sure you could mirror the displays, but then every display would show the same CQC IV. I'd want a unique CQC IV on each display which is something Dean would have to implement for CQC. It's "On the List" to be done, but he has bigger priorities right now.

Ah, I thought CQC implemented multiple instance support in order to support the RAD-I/O screens. That could be a probem for sure.

You can get a USB cat5e balun for about $25.

Where do you find them for 25 bucks? I have seen USB1.1 for that price for for USB2.0 I see them around $100 or more.

I've bought several from this E-Bay seller. I've had a very good experience with each one I've purchased and would recommend them to other Cocoontech members.

Looking at the specs however, it doesn't support the highest USB speed (480 mps), but I've never had a problem with the applications I'm using it for. Of course that has not included video displays yet.
