No reversing relay option for NX8E panel?

Looking at adding 4 wire smokes to NX8E.  But I can't find anything on reversing relay connection.  Is this as simple as connecting the input of the relay to the bell output?

Did some more reading - hooking the relay to the bell output will cause the fire sounders to go off on any alarm, not just fire - not good.   Some relay modules can apparently tell from the bell signal cadence if it is fire or other alarm.  But the simple answer is to set up an aux output (system has two) to supply voltage to the relay only during fire as detailed a bit more here:

We do this alot with NX panels.  We use one of the programmable outputs on the NX board to trigger an Elk relay which in turn triggers the reversing module.  Program the output to go to neg. when triggered, by a fire zone,  non-latching and silence on code entry.  We use the Elk relay because the NX output is to weak to hold the coil on the rev. relay.  There is a wiring diagram that describes the use of an external trigger but it doesn't show the Elk relay in the mix.  What reversing relay are you using?  We use System Sensor RMM and there is a jumper that needs to be set as well. Good luck.

Haven't purchased the reversing relay yet.  Where is the wiring diagram you mention that describes use of external trigger?  I could add another relay (don't have an Elk) but if I do that I might as well just choose a standard DPDT relay that has a lower current coil to do the whole job.  I was planning to use an agency (UL, etc) approved relay for the application but if I have to have a non-approved relay or driver transistor as well then I think the agency approval is already broken and the use of agency approved relay for this particular application is pointless.

Is the elk relay just a relay or does it also depend on Elk programming?  Not familiar with Elk...

It looks like I have an older version that has relay outputs good for 1A and don't need the extra relay.  Newer versions just have the transistor outputs.
