No voice

Nubbie Alert!! I have an Elk M1 gold system linked to an Insteon (ISY) home automation system. I cannot  get any voice announcemens through the keyboard (elk m1pk) speaker.  Is this not an option? And if it is how can I accomplish this?

Voice announcements are not played through the keypads you have to connect speakers to Output 1 on the main control.
 
A lot of people hide/mount SP12 speakers behind the keypads for announcements, again connected to Output 1 on the main control.

What he said... just note you need additional wire run to accomplish that - it won't work off the keypad wiring.
