Odd entries in HS log

This is not a new problem but I would like to fix this if possible...

My HS (1.7) log is filled with these:

12/29/2005 12:35:45PM X10 Received E On
12/29/2005 12:35:50PM X10 Received E Off
12/29/2005 12:36:10PM X10 Received E On
12/29/2005 12:36:25PM X10 Received E On
12/29/2005 12:37:56PM X10 Received E On
12/29/2005 12:38:02PM X10 Received E Off
12/29/2005 12:38:39PM X10 Received E Off
12/29/2005 12:38:47PM X10 Received A Off
12/29/2005 12:38:58PM X10 Received A Off
etc.

I know this is related to my hawkeye motion sensors and the W800. I have all my motion sensors set to 'No Logging' in HS so I don't get the HC/UC. I would like to get rid of these entries but don't know how. Anyone know how to get rid if these?

They are related to the hawkeye transmissions- somehow. I can't imaging that my motion sensors are sending 'all off'/'all on' transmissions. When I was using X10's wireless receivers, even the MR26, I didn't get these in my log. After I switched to the W800, I am getting them. I guess there is some setting in the plug-in that would solve this?

What's that "debounce' setting in the W800 plug-in do? It's not clear to me if that has anything to do with it.

the debounce value allows you to configure how long the W800RF ignores repeating messages. IF you set this low, your dim up/down buttons will work faster, if you set it high, you have to push many more times to get the dim level to change.

If you only pick this up when using the W800RF, then maybe you are getting interference from another source. You sould be able to tell it to ignore the all on/off for that housecode in the W800RF setup screen.

OK, getting closer. I turned on basic debugging in the W800 plug in. Here is what the log shows...

12/30/2005 12:52:09 PM~!~W800 RF (32Bit) Controller~!~RF Decoded: X10 A 9 On
12/30/2005 12:52:09 PM~!~W800 RF (32Bit) Controller~!~Asking HS to Transmit X10: A9 On

(I added the line breaks for clarity)
OK, seems this is HS sending the command after picking it up from the W800 ??? Why HS does not send(show?) the Unit Code in the log is a mystery.

Back to the original question, can I get rid of these in the HS log?

Do you really want to retransmit the RF from the motion sensors onto the powerline? If not then uncheck the W800 retransmit and then HS will not be sending and no messages will appear in the log

Oh.

Of course that makes all the sense in the world - now. I will uncheck the 'Retransmit' box and see what happens.

Thanks
Joe
