I installed cqc but have not gotten a chance to play with it. I as hoping that out of the box I would get a nice gui that would allow me to control my hai pannel. Does anyone has a step by step cqc cheat sheet?

Have you checked out the "How To" Videos at the CQC site? They are located under the "Support" tab. That is probably the best place to start.

Unfortunately there are no "out of the box" guis with CQC. Because it is so flexible, it is basically impossible to create even a simpe gui because they are all so system dependant.

That being said, there are a lot of resources (including guis that users will share) on the CQC user form.

You can also use the Administrative Interface to control any driver that you have loaded into the system. So while it isn't a nice GUI, you can manually play with things to make sure the lights turn on as expected and you can arm/disarm the alarm, etc, etc, etc.

Thanks for the links and suggestions. Watching videos now!

For clarification - it is really the "Tutorial Videos" that you want to start with. There are also a couple of "How To" videos, but they are for specific applications like creating a GUI keypad or configuring a media repository. They will probably be over the head of someone completely new to CQC. The Tutorial Videos are great and start out at the absolute basic level and systematically builds on these basic building blocks.
