OMNI-IIe, how to "reset system RAM"

(I am starting a new topic on an ongoing problem)
 
My old OMNI-IIe and the brand new replacement OMNI-IIe both freeze up after a few hour or a few days.   Even after I removed all 480 lines of "programs" from the file, the new panel still freezes up.  (no networking and "no controller data" is displayed on the console)
 
Leviton-HAI Tech support said  to Reset System Ram  as follows.
 
Go to Setup>>Installer Setup>>Misc>>Reset Sytem RAM (not EEPRrom) - press 1 then #
 
"Installer Setup" does not exist on our 6 year old console and the "Reset System RAM" does not appear anywhere else from the Console.
 
is there anywhere else to do this ?
 
Doesn't a power cycle reset system RAM.   The unit will run for hours or days after a Power Cycle, but then it freezes.

"Installer Setup" does not exist on our 6 year old console and the "Reset System RAM" does not appear anywhere else from the Console.
 
You have to use the installer 4 digit code to reset system RAM.  Thinking that this is different than the master code.

PCA installer version allows you to change the installer passcode.
 
Test again without the network cable plugged in and tell us what happens after a few days.

Make sure you have the keypads addressed appropriately.
By default, all keypads are ID 1.

The HAI keypads and Omnitouch 5.7 are typically given a unique ID starting with #1.  Here have one keypad and multiple Omnitouch 5.7's.  Each one has a unique ID.  If I had two keypads the ID #'s would be 1 and 2.
 
Here are the instructions for programming the ID.  I put a description of the console location in PCA.
 
How are console addresses set?
Answer:    
Console addresses are set in the following manner:

LCD Push-Button Models
Simultaneously press and hold the “4” and “Up Arrow” keys for approximately 1 second – the console should beep 5 times and “Console Address” should appear on the console.
 
Press the desired address number, followed by the “#” key – the number should indent slightly to the left when pushed, and move to the far right when the “#” key is pushed.
 
Simultaneously press and hold the “4” AND “Up Arrow” for approximately 1 second – The console should begin beeping twice per second and the display should read “NO CONTROLLER DATA” for a few seconds, before returning to the normal display.  NOTE: If the display goes back to Console Address, you have held the keys too long.

OmniTouch Consoles:
Press and hold the HAI logo in the lower right hand corner of the display for approximately 3 seconds – the “Touchscreen Address” page should display.
Use the “Up/Down” arrows to the right of “Touchscreen Address” to select the desired address.
Press the “Exit Door” to exit the menu and go back to the main display.
 
NOTE: The OmniTouchPro 5.7e (53A00-2), 10P (67A00-1) and Omnitouch 7 's are not addressed in the same manner as the above, as they are not connected to the Leviton controller A/B bus.  These devices utilize LAN IP Addresses and communicate to the Leviton controller via Ethernet Port.

I have Dealer PCA   and I set the system up out of the box.  So is there a default Installer Code ?  Would the Console have different menu items using the Installer code ?

The default is 1111, but if you have PC Access, you can set it to anything, assuming you connect to your panel with a network connection. (If you connect with a serial connection, then you need the installer code to connect.) The installer code is on the screen under "Account Information"
 
Yes, when you use the installer code on the console you get options you can't access otherwise. You can access "Installers Setup" that you can't access otherwise.

I am still trying to get into "Installer Setup"  on the console.  But I don't have the Installer code and "1111" does not work.
 
I have Dealer PC Access connected by Network.
The Code listed in Account information is  5411  and that does not work as the Installer Code in the Console.
5411 is listed as the Master Code under Codes.
 
Pete-C said PCA Installer Version earlier in the thread.  Is that different than Dealer PCA ?
 
So I am still trying to reset the Installer Code so I can get into Installer Setup.

Master code and installer code are different.   I have never tried to make the master code the same as the installer code.
 
Dealer PCA and PCA installer version are the same.
 
The code indicated above by Ano on the account information page is the installer code which is present in the last configuration saved with PCA.
 
Change the installer code to 1111; then upload the new configuration to your panel and see if the new installer code of 1111 works.
 
You can also log in via PCA with a serial connection using the master code.  I have done this before.
 
After you upload the PCA configuration un power the keypad console such that it boots up with configuration from panel or just disconnect the power / battery from the panel and then power it up again.

In PC Access its rather confusing. The Installer Code and PC Access Codes are on the Miscellaneous Settings page, the Master code is in the Codes section.
