Can anyone using HAI's access control try to use it as a trigger for an event for me please??
I can't get it to work and I guess no one monitors the HAI forums anymore since I haven't gotten a reply there yet.
I'm not using their access control, so I can't help you there, but I did see your post over at their forum and it is really sad to see that they don't monitor their forum and provide assistance.
I am not sure where you are having trouble but here are the steps:
1. you must have at least one serial port configured for access control. Since you didn't say access control wasn't working I am assuming this is set up correctly.
WAIT: I think I remember your post and I think I replied to it. You asked about logging access control events and I replied that in PC Access in the configuration for the code/card you just had to set the "Log Card" property to "yes" and the Omni will automatically log it. Go back and check...
2. If it is set up properly the events and commands will appear in the automation programming options. You would use a "WHEN READER x" event to trigger whenever there was an access control event for that reader. You would use the conditionals to determine what you are interested in such as ACCESS GRANTED, DENIED, LOCKED, UNLOCKED or USER.
EXAMPLE:
Code:
WHEN Front Door
AND IF Front Door USER IS Joe
THEN whatever you want...
I just looked and don't even see the original question under the HAI section. The question definately sounds familliar. Did you post it on another forum like the HAI forum on our web site or Worthington or something. I monitor several forums, and try to check each one a few times a week...
