Omnistat 2 Runs Fan, No Heat

I am using an Omnistat2 RC-2000 to control my Geothermal heat pump and the Omnistat 2 is exhibiting some behavior that I don't understand. The thermostat will control fine for a while - perhaps a day - then start to run the fan constantly. It then will keep the fan on constantly. If the temperature drops below setpoint, the unit does not call for heat. It just runs the fan. If I pull the unit or turn off furnace power, the thermostat will go back to controlling correctly for a period of time, then go in to the fan-only mode. This will happen on the cool side as well.

I replaced the thermostat with a new one and it is doing the same thing. If I replace it with the original thermostat supplied with the unit, all is fine.

I am connected to an Elk M1G, but I don't do anything with rules that apply to the thermostat other than reset to desired temperatures once at night in case the thermostat has been changed during the day.The system is a Water Furnace Spectra series.
