OOOOUUUUCH!!!!!!

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games is another good one for a workout. You have to move the controllers around a lot.

It certainly gets you off the couch! And I think that's what it was designed to do...

And there is a commercial now where someone does throw the controller at the TV that is supposed to be a baseball and shatters it... I don't think it's a Wii commercial, though...

No, it's a southwest Airlines ("Wanna get away?") commercial. But appearantly the early Wii controllers either didn't have a wrist strap, or had an ineffective one, and such accidents like that were common. I can see how, with wii tennis and boxing, for starters.

My only problem is the extra controllers are so darn hard to find. I finally found some online at costco.com for $36.99 each. No place in town has them. My parents (62 and 58 yrs old) love to come over and have Wii bowling tournaments. The crack up is my 3 yr old niece is the best bowler of us all!

True on that, I got my wiimotes at a gamestop, still short on nunchuks however they aren't as needed.

Also my 6 year old is one of the best bowlers in my family too. :)

these guys have some fair reviews...anything 4+ is decent IMO

http://wii.ign.com/index/reviews.html

best games IMO so far:

Metal of Honor Heroes 2 - excellent shooter. good use of nunchuck and remote. need a gun case for this one
Madden NFL 08 - you actually have to go through the motions like your are playing. remote forward to throw, both nunchuch and remote up to catch, etc.
The Bigs - decent for baseball. much better than the sport's one. timing is a little off on hitting but you get used to it.
Excite Truck - just a fun offroad racing game. easy to play for just about all ages.
Guitar Hero III - definitely not like the real thing but decent enough to enjoy playing. builds hand coordination. takes getting used to initially.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - huge world to explore. intuitive uses of the remote for casting spells
Zelda - need i say anymore
Links Crossbow Training - good all around shooter
Scarface the World is Yours - I think they say just about every curse you can in spanish and english...shooter type of game
Super Mario Galaxy - let's just say it's out of this world ***
Like said before, Tiger Wood's Golf is good also as well as Lego Star Wars
Trauma Center - when else could i get to play surgeon?!?!
Wairio Ware - fast pace - decent use of moment on controller
Wii Sports of course - my 5 year old niece has the high score on bowling at 214. even my 80+ year old grandmother plays it.
Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros Treasure - long movie scenes but a good adventure game for multiple ages. more of directing the players as opposed to actually playing them. well thought out.

i'd like to try SSX Blur, the new Smackdown Wrestling, the Godfather, Resident Evil

I am still stuck on what to put in our model home/showroom: Wii, PS3 or Xbox, LOL. I know, a HUGE can of worms!

IMO, your best bet would probably be a Wii running Wii Sports -> Bowling. That is the game that seems to get the most difference in age levels playing it.

x2

Anyone can pick that up and play.

Also the wii demostrates much more technology for less money. The wiimotes are just way beyond a standard console controller.

Last conference I went to, they had a Wii at one of the booths running Wii sports, a big screen and some of the sports accessories. That booth was never empty. Don't remember what it was selling, but it definitely drew the people in.
