Haiku Optimizing Dadabase Issue

When shutting Helper down it tries tp optimize the database. I have let it run for over an hour and it does not end so I have to force terminate Helper.

I just read that there is a way to shut it down without the optimization but I wanted to ask if there is something that I should do to correct the issue.

I only have a single controller that I am managing if that makes a difference.

It can take a long time if the drive the data is on is slow (ie. not an SSD) and the climate statistics database is large. Nothing you can do to correct it. But, yes, you can avoid it by pressing Command+Option+Q to quit, or holding Option when selecting the Quit item in the HaikuHelper menu. Also the Dock icon's Quit menu is instant as well.

Maybe this can be move to an option area so that I can choose when to optimize the database?
