That's why some basic video analysis works out so well. I just tell the system to ignore anything that's roughly green.

Yes today I do the video analysis with ZM / sending XAP messages to HA using the combo Optex PIR/Cams. I like that you can create "zones" adjust their sensativity and unique zone events. With the PIR's its all or nothing. I am looking for a bit more outside PIR detail in a couple of unique areas. IE: say landscapers/weed and feeders are present at the same time as the sprinkler system triggers - event automatically "pauses" sprinklers.

Think Dan mentioned something about introducing some genotype recognition database to his security system using a passive optical hair follicle sub system. <_<

I haven't added my sprinklers into my system yet, but one of the things I intend to do with it is to turn ON the sprinklers when motion is detected in certain areas at night. I'll probably chirp the outside siren or flash the lights a couple of times before the sprinklers start to remind me in case I'm the one that triggered the motion.

I just keep a notepad, some scotch-tape and a box of green crayons with me. Like a paper-cloaked ninja, I weave and sway through the sprinklers, nary a drop touching me.
