I had ordered and successfully gotten working the 6-channel master hub to my XP machine and rigged up a single DS18S20 for a test. I managed to get the OneWireViewer to see it just fine and it gave me good temps.
So, my next project was to get my newly configured NSLU2 hooked up with the USB 1-wire adapter that I got today (thanks Eric!), and hook the Master Hub up to the NSLU2 with the USB adapter.
When I go into OWFS, it sees the USB adapter as seen here:
[codebox]Bus 003 Device 002: ID 04fa:2490 Dallas Semiconductor DS1490F 2-in-1 Fob, 1-Wire adapter
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0d49:7350 Maxtor
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
[/codebox]
I am also able to get owhttpd up and going and can get the USB adapter mounted in /mnt/1wire. However, that's as far as I get. It's like the signal stops there and it doesn't see any of the Master Hub. Do I have to do anything with this non-used serial adapter now, like terminate it or anything?
The hub has power -- green light. I have the RJ-11 to RJ-45 cable connecting the USB adapter and the "Channel 1 - Main" and my short DS18S20 test probe on "Channel 1 - Aux". The Channel 1 lights are not on. It seems like when I was using the OneWireViewer like I had to open the channel of communication or something to the channel before the light lit up.
Why am I not seeing the hub at all? It's late -- I may have missed a step, I admit. Another set of eyes/ears is appreciated.
Jamie
