Panja PLB8 Amp Custom Control (PhastLink)

I have a Panja amp that apparently runs using the Landmark Phastlink data bus. Does anyone know anything about how I can get this thing controlled via RS-232. Is the protocol available anywhere?

Phast Link seems to be the proprietary protocol for Phast devices

Search at Remotecentral.com for Phast.

try googling the 'amp model #' + 232

Not sure what amp control you'd need; it's an amp.

Have tried all of the above, just can't seem to connect with the right document or knowledgeable person.

All I really need is the ability to control the volume on each channel. Maybe mute, but not sure my version of amp supports muting.

EDIT- After a bit more searching, it looks to be impossible without additional hardware. Not worth it! I will control audio levels via the source.

Oh, missed the model # in the thread title.

Looks like HAI offered at Phast interface, at one point.

Phast uses IPX/SPX protocol. It also uses proprietary software in the form of "Landmark" software. Lastly, the controller (if IR) cannot be put into the system without special hardware. AMX seems to have made this system as inaccessible as humanly possible.

You shouldn't need anything to control you amp, it's just an amp, it doesn't adjust the sound volume, the volume control is via the 8x8 or 16x16 switcher / pre-amp. The only thing you can do with the phast software to the amp is set the maximum volume level - ranges from 0 to 99, but you can do that manually. There's 2 buttons on the back of the amp that let you raise and lower the level of each of the 8 channels.

I'm using 5 of these phast amps with my HTD MC-66's to run 20 zones in my house. Great sound and you can find them from about $120 on ebay.

What do you mean by "maximum volume level"?

Also, I see where the level can be adjusted manually, does this stay persistent during a power off or power loss?
