PIR normal operation

Ok so I just finished installing my security system. One thing I have noticed is the wireless motions are not real quick to react, I suspect this is normal I just did not expect it to be as drastic of a difference compared to the dual-tech rokonet wired sensors I installed. I used wireless in 2 rooms due to the extreme difficulty in wiring those rooms, rest of the PIR are wired.

What I notice is that I can walk fully into the rooms and count to about 5-10 before the system detects me, where the wired ones react as soon as I am within eye sight of the sensor. Not too big of a concern for me since anyone who enters the house via those rooms will most likely cross into a zone covered by a wired sensor, I just want to check to see if this is the expected behavior?

Wireless sensors do usually have a delay associated with them, which has to do with transmission time and battery life, I am not sure what is normal but I do know they wont be instant like the wired sensors.

And once they pick you up once, they transmit and then lock-out - so they won't continually show movement.
