Please help re: LCD Display Control Pad

I just noticed a week ago that the LCD dislay is always lit on both my HAI control pannels. According to everithing I have read here and other web sites, the display is supposed to turn off in 3 minutes or so after last activity. That is not the case with mine. What could be causing them to stay on and how can I make them go out after the three minutes.

Please note that I am not talking about the keypad, I know how to turn that off and on, I am talking about the LCD display.

Never mind, for some reason it started to work the way it should have been.
