Pool Alarm for Omni Pro II

Hello All,
In preparation for the summer season I would like to have some sort of sensor for my inground pool.
This sensor would alarm with an occupant(s) in the pool.
I have found many devices that are standalone, but none that will tie into the omni pro II.
Has anyone else done anything like this and if so what are you using?

Thanks!

Hmm. The problem with anything like that is going to be electrical safety -- all of the pool alarms I've seen are devices that float in the pool and are battery powered. Maybe there is some kind of optical device that could be hacked to provide a remote sense capability.

Is your main concern with kids falling into the pool, or trespassers?

Most of them are standalone. There may be some parts you can rig together to work, but once again if this is for 'life safety', like detecting a child in the pool then I always shy away from diy rig jobs. The SonarGuard is one of the most sophistcated pool systems out there and can interface via relay or RS-485. The problem - install starts at around $7500 - OUCH. You can read the CEPRO article here which also has a link to the mfg site.

Thanks for everyones input and valid points. Yeah-$7,500 is a little out of my price range.
I have a little one on the way and we have new neighbors with kids so life safety is of utmost importance.
I could always alarm the pool gate and put some beams along the fence.

Thanks Again!
