Power for M1XEP

I am about to snip the wall wart off my MIXEP and wanted to make sure i wire it into the vaux on the M1 correctly.  
 
Print on the wire = + 
No print on the wire = -
 
Correct?

I'm not sure that the printing on the wire is guaranteed to be consistent from one sample of the AC adapter to another.  Better to check which wire is which with a multimeter. The wire that is connected to the center conductor of the barrel connector should be connected to +12V (+VAUX), and the outer shell of the connector is NEG.

Ahhh...multimeter...knew I had that thing for a reason.

I'm 95% sure that the striped wire of the XEP PS is the positive one... but definitely meter it!

Identified conductor is supposed to be positive, but with foreign transformers, anything goes. Always use a meter
