I started a new topic for graphics...hope you all don't mind....

First order of business....favicon. Does anyone have a Premise/SYS favicon? I have yet figured out what to use as the graphic to gen one...the famous SYS pyramid must be out there somewhere.....

I'll start throwing some of the apple-ish graphics I am using for the xbrowser as i get them completed....(especially since I figured out my media playing problem!)

Ironically, my favicon is the "smiling house" used by Misterhouse! I switched to Premise from Misterhouse but retained the same server URL ... so my browser's cached Misterhouse favicon appears for Premise Browser. However, I rarely see it because I run the browser in theater-mode.

Using XN Resource Editor, you can extract the graphics from Builder's opening splashscreen. Using paint.net, you can crop the image to get a high-quality, 24-bit Premise Pyramid.

"The white zone is for immediate loading and unloading of passengers only. There is no stopping in a red zone."

123,

I kinda laughed when I saw that, and believe that was your intent... I hope I did not offend anyone by directing Chuck to this upload directory. I believe all HA software can use more graphics, backgrounds and icons... I am trying to assemble my touch screen interface and know I can use some more...... I just noticed JohnW's weather graphics and snatched those up quickly.

No offense was intended nor taken.

If you need icons, buttons, etc, feel free to install Premise and extract its graphics files. They're mostly in GIF format and can be found here:

I see I havent uploaded the Favicon I created from 123's wonderful suggestions. I am loving' Paint.net. I found a plug-in for creating .ico files, which is making the move to 123's 1024x768 much easier.

Once I get back home, I'll upload -

A question, however.....

In AutoBrowser->ObjectGrid->Globalscripts->RenderObjectsinGrid you can change some of the parameters, such as cell size, title attributes, mouseover effects, etc for objects, such as content. Changing the size(s) hasn't been a problem, but now with the slick 1024 look, what I'd like to do is have a 'pop-up' like effect when I mouseover an 'album cover', so you can see it much clearer (or maybe even look at the back cover). I havent been able to quite figure it - any ideas? (of course, this may become moot when I started doing the HUI)

The current mouseover effect increases the icon's size from 45 to 90 pixels (height and width). However, the expanded icon remains in situ and doesn't appear in a pop-up. This technique has an upper limit ... if you increase the image size too much it will goof up the alignment of the other items in the grid (although 180x180 pixels isn't too bad). Your suggestion to use a popup would circumvent this problem.

I'm no web-app expert but you'll need to pass the album cover image to a Javascript function. Search for "Javascript popup" and there'll be no end to the number of results. ;) I guess the downside of popups is that your browser may be configured to block them or open them in a new tab or window. Perhaps a web-app guru could shed some light on how to implement popups effectively.

Well, hopefully this will fit the bill for those of you/us looking for a Premise Favicon...

Thanks, 123....the XN Resource Editor is nice.....and sorry Mustangcoupe...I'd be surprised if anyone outside of this forum will want the famous Premise logo/favicon.....

Thanks Chuck!

For the uninitiated, as per the instructions here, rename the file to "favicon.ico" and copy it to "\Program Files\Premise\SYS\web". Open Premise Browser and the address bar will sport Premise's logo, compliments of Chuck!

123....thanks! Now I know where to put it....hmmm...well you know what I mean...

Different topic, but somewhat related to Graphics....

As I was going thru the changes to go to 1024 x 768 (Thanks again for that!), I started adding descriptions to each element of the UI (for instance - for Mediaplayer->mpVolUpTop->the location from the top for the mediaplayer's 'volume up' button), so I can remember what does where, when. Some are obvious, but some aren't.

can export the .xdo for each object, but if I made changes to any of the settings (pixels, etc), those changes will be exported as well.

I can do it from a clean instance, which I don't mind, but does anybody care or want these? (I'm about 1/2 way thru)
