Hello all,
I am new to home automation and to this site. I am looking to setup a club building with a home automation controller and a controllable door lock. I'd like to be able to record each time the building is accessed, and which lock code was used to unlock the door. I do not want to lose lock events due to the internet service being down. I think this means that the controller has to maintain a log locally.
I have not seen this type of feature mentioned when I read about home automation controllers. What should I look for in a controller's specs that would let me know it supports this capability?
One controller I am looking at is the VeraEdge. This controller fits my budget well, but it doesn't look like it has any storage, so I don't think it can meet my need.
Another controller I am looking at is the HomeSeer HomeTroller Zee S2. This one has an 8GB SD, so it looks like it might have a chance.
I am open to suggestions for other low cost controllers.
Thanks for the help!
Ken
