I am using iPort wall mounts for the iPod Touch in my house using MainLobby. I have jailbroken the devices to install a screen brightness/dim/backlight hack that allows me to set the timeout to much longer times - 30 minutes on average. I would like to be able to remotely control the backlight through my network. When I put the house to sleep - I would like to send a command to the touch screens to shut the backlight off. I am assuming this would be a hack - has anyone had any experience with remote control of iPads, etc. through a remote network command? Thanks.
