Remote launching videos through Sage HD200

Hello!,
I am getting into Sage as of recent and am wondering if it is possible to launch a movie through a Sage extender pragmatically. I envision having my home brew software looking into my movie directory on my server though a tablet PC, selecting a movie on the tablet, and playing it through my HD200. I want to program it all together and have the lights dim (currently Insteon), maybe a audio clip (like they have in Cinemar 'Sit back and relax... You're about to watch...), and then play the movie the movie through Sage. If no go does anyone integrate Sage as back-end server with some other front end software???
Thanks as always

Great question! I've been trying to get that answered as well:

Linkt to my question

I think the way I worded it, I was trying to do more then you...but this one feature is critical to my being able to run my "homebrew"

The webserver plugin may allow you to do this. I know that CQC has a sage driver that allows you to pass it a file location and it will play that file. I was using a my movies driver that showed cover art and movie info that then passed the file location to sage and played the file. This does require that the Sage server be running.

Well after some research it definitely looks possible to do. I am not sure how difficult it maybe though. I am interested in writing a driver in .NET that can interface with Sage extenders. If anyone has interest and coding skills PM me.

Dang...sounds like to do it, it needs to be something that will not necessarily interface to the DVD Collection webpage for Homeseer.

DOH!
