CQC can also control SageTV and it is through the same utility that the droid application uses.

I've been messing around with CQC ever since the open source announcement. Seems like a steep learning curve from what I've been seeing. What Sage driver do you use (I see 2 in the driver setup), and can you control the Sage extender? Is it hard to setup the Sage driver in CQC?

You use the Sage-TCP Player driver to control the extenders. You need to load one driver for each extender you have. It allows you complete control of extender functions, but does not include any "media server" type information. So to get information like recently recorded shows, guide information, upcoming recordings, etc you need to load the Sage-TCP Media Server driver.

Originally it was all in one driver, but was smartly split into two drivers. There is no need to waste resources by loaded multiple "media server" type information for every extender you have. That information is the same whether you have 1 extender or 10 and there is no need to have 10 sets of identical information being loaded into the CQC system.

CQC Control over SageTV was pretty easy to setup for me when following the instructions. Now with the new plugin manager in SageTV 7 i should be even easier...just got to make sure to type in the MAC adresses correctly....
