Screw Terminal Nightmare

I agree every terminal should be removable, but the professional security only installers are so price conscious (cheap) that they will not pay the price for the better terminals like Phoenix.
For now the home automation market is willing to pay the price for the better stuff. My prediction for the future as home automation controllers become a comodity item like home security, the price will drop on the controllers and the unpluggable terminals will disappear.

While we are on the subject on making life simple, how many controllers have a power On/Off switch so you do not have to unplug the transformer and disconnect the battery to hook something up? I have been told that a power On/Off switch is a security issue. My opinion is that if an intruder is that close to the main control PC board, a hammer makes an excellent Off switch if there is no On/Off switch on the PC board.
