I just got this in my mailbox, and thought there might be a few who were interested. I have been looking for a 1TB drive for a while, and they never seem to drop below $149.

The you haven't been looking hard enough

While this is a good price, it is really about average right now. I thought I saw that Newegg was selling them for $129.99 with free shipping, but that must have been a special because it is now listed at $139.99 with free 3day shipping which is only $1 more than TigerDirect after paying $8.99 for ground shipping (3-7 days).

Anyway, I haven't really seen it for less than $129, but I do see it for that price with free shipping from time to time.

i bought a 1tb drive about 2 months ago... $126 shipped.... it is one of those "Green" Drives...

use 50% less power... but not sure how it works..
think it is a 7200rpm drive but when sitting it is 5200rpm or something.....

anyway I put it in a old dell 4600c sff machine... so the less power consumption is nice.... it is a htpc now...
