Siren Output2

Wow so many conversations about output 2. I am puzzeled with my issue. When my alarm is triggered the siren doesnt turn on. I thought I need a new one but tested it first by plugging it in the speakers connection and it works. Some other conversations here are about a consistent humming sound coming from the siren since its plugged on a supervised connection. How come I get no sound? Should I try to reverse the wires? Not sure if that makes sence

Any suggestions?

What is output 3 used for? Can this be an alternative solution for a siren?

I'm assuming you have an M1 - have you set the correct output 2 type within RP? I take it you have a speaker.

What is output 3 used for? Can this be an alternative solution for a siren?

Output 3 can be used for anything which requires switching on/off - sirens (secondary only as you should use output 2), strobes, etc.
From what you said, you have a speaker which can't be used alone with output 3.
