smoke det. problem

hi all
i have eight SS 2-wire detectors connected to my M1.
I am using the SS RSS-MOD to get all to sound together.
The jumper is set to "2-smoke" on J16.
Power for everthing comes from VAUX as i should be below its max rating.
Power for the OUTPUT 3 "COMM" comes from VAUX also.

I have two rules written which are as follows:

WHENEVER ANY FIRE ALARM TURNS ON
THEN TURN Output 003 (Out 3) ON
WHENEVER ANY FIRE ALARM CUTS OFF
THEN TURN Output 003 (Out 3) OFF

Everything seems to work as all sounders do activate together, however, i cant turn OUTPUT 3 off with the input of my user code. The LED is lit (for output 3) while the alarms are active and the user code does not seem to have an effect. It is the correct code as i use it daily and i am able to rest the detectors once i remove the power wire to the OUTPUT 3 Common.

any ideas? or more info needed?

EDIT - i also have the "Cutoff timer" for FIRE DURATION set to 30 sec. but it didnt seem to have an effect on anything as the alarms will sound for minutes.

sorry i see i left out the System Sensor model. They are all 2WTA-B.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Connect your power for the rss mod to a switched 4 wire smoke output, then use the menu to reset the output (2 I believe from memory). The trigger for the RRS is only being fed voltage upon a fire alarm, but if you want to push the issue further, power it off a 4 wire fire circuit and use output 3 to switch only on fire alarm to tandem ring.
