I posted a few times asking about various speech recognition input methods, not finding any ideal solutions.
I have now tried bluetooth, RF microphones, an array of microphones (not the am-100), and a few others that didnt work.
Recently i reformatted my smarthome server to vista. In setting up my sound stuff, I noticed an input device that XP never detected-- my magicjack.
In recording devices I set my magicjack as primary. I turned the volume way up, and closed the magicjack software.
I tested in sound recorder and have fairly good quality voice input now!
I get speech recognition now with about 95% accuracy using my portable phone, plugged into magicjack. I am using SAPI 5.3 that came with vista.
I dont get sound out of the telephone speaker, and the gain on the mic is low, but it works very well other than that.
