My old system was Concord 4 with above device as primary comunicatior.
From what it looks like, its a 2500 unit with custom dial capture board. Capture board uses RS-232 to comunicate with uplink. Unit in whole does pretty much what current Uplink 2550 does all by it self.
So i have this idea of using this unit as Uplink 2500 for my M1G, tosssing capture board but keeping power/battery board, get ELK-M1XSP w/ ELK-W046A. Will this idea work?
I have dealer login to uplink site and this unit is in my account, its been activated since 2009 and comunicates to nextalarm cs by pots. Its shows as Stealth GSM 1650 there and not as 2500. So i cant really active UplinkRemote for it but thats not all that important to me as i can disarm with my vera lite or android keypad app. I can obvisoly just keep it as it is, and ELK will "dial out" thru it just like Concord 4 did. But i'm thinking RS-232 will be much quicker to report? I'm not sure. What you guys think? Is it worth for me to mess with it to save comunication time from dialup to rs232? Has any one called uplink about this to see if they can simply manualy code this unit in their system as plain 2500?

thanks!
