Temperature Sensors

In general, where do people wire internal temperature sensors to?

Baseboard?
Ceiling?
Wall - Mid height? Corner?

For room temperature, on the wall, mid-height. Same as thermostats.

An interior wall, by the wall. Not outside. And also far enough away from windows to avoid sunlight.

Most of mine are in the room behind the door.

I'm using a network of hobby boards 1wire sensors. Seem to work well.

Do you feed those into an M1? CQC?
Do you have any details or links about your setup of 1-wire sensors?

I'm using the Datanab Ai32 and the flush mount temp sensors for room temps.

How are you interfacing with the Ai32?

To CQC, via the most excellent awesomest driver ever written, which i spent some time improving this weekend, actually. h34r:

I've found the dry contact recognition time to be horrible, so I spent a good portion of Saturday improving the code so that now...it's merely bad. It's still a good efficiency improvement and I'll float it out to Dean, but there's nothing that can make the dry contacts react quicker. It's analog inputs, not digital. *shrug* It works for garage door sensors and other things that don't react quickly.

Mine just plug right into my HomeVisionPro's 1wire port. This works great BUT it has the problem of only being able to handle temperature sensors.

I have the ugly Proliphix "Executive Sensor" model, a thermistor type, wired to one of my thermostats.
