Thermostat Remote Control Wireless

Anyone know of a wireless thermosat option? I have a customer that wants to remotely control a rental about 100 ft away.

No cable or phone.

I'm thinking upb may work. Any other suggestions?

You could put a PC in each and have the two communicate via HA software
You could use a RS232 wireless device. MarkP talked a bit about one for his pool automation on AVSForum.
UPB should work fine over 100 ft assuming the two buildings are on same powerline.
ZWave might be another option.
X10 another.
Best is to run a serial cable between the two. 100 ft isn't that bad.

Many options

Simplehomenet has the documentation listed for an Insteon communicating thermostat on their website. No product yet. There's an interesting IP thermostat from Proliphix that can be managed from a webbrowser anywhere. Kinda pricey at smarthome:

but maybe an option. Burying 100 feet of cable (having done it a few times) is no fun and has a low WAF if you have to route it through favorite parts of the garden.

Has anyone tried this thermostat? I need to order a tstat soon and am bewildered at the options...

If they have a W800 receiver then they could use an X10 palm pad remote to control any thermostat that is connected to HomeSeer or directly control an RCS X10 thermostat.
