Thermostate with Ethernet

Remember a thermostat is little more then a timer, temp sensor and relays. Instead of a single really expensive thermostat you can put an inexpensive sensor in many areas and use logic to control the HVAC system. You can get pretty creative and come in the same if not lower cost, however you would have a labor investment.

EDIT:
Now with a lakehouse or remote cabin this thing could be very cool.

Anybody familiar with this product:
Ethernet Themostat

Yikes. It looks alarmingly like the Proliphix IP thermostat series -- perhaps an OEM arrangement?

I have the Proliphix residential models. They work well locally and remotely.

They do not HA-integrate well because of a lack (AFAIK) of broad support, drivers, etc. For my purposes I handle the integration with some PHP code. It's not difficult, and these thermostats have a simple and robust interface.

The price for these ought to be more like $250-300.

Odd too, my HVAC controller (inherited with the house) is an EWC model.
