Trigger zones via programming or output device

So I'm digging more into the programming of things, but cannot figure how how to do this.

What I want to do is set a zone to "Not Secure" therefore triggering the alarm to call out.  I've got two scenarios that I would like to do this with; 1) revolving around temperature alerts, 2) revolving around timed events.

Ideally I would like to program these events to set a zone to "Not Secure"; eventually triggering a dialout.  I've also thought about the idea of connecting one of the zones directly to an output with an EOL resistor; but not sure of the voltage or hazard this may cause.

So I guess my questions are the following:

1)  Can you toggle a zone between Secure/Not Secure via programming?

2)  Can you connect a zone directly to an output with an EOL resistor?

3)  Can you cause the system to dial out via program; other than directly triggering a zone?

You might want to start by reading the other thread from the start. Its all explained there.

Yes you can just dial a number. Look up "message" and "phone" in the users guide.

If you really need to violate a zone then install a relay switch in in the zone and open it via an output.

Mike.

It occured to me that you could just run the zone through an output and don't need a relay at all.
