Turn Off Strobe when Alarm Cuts Off

That could be a possibility, gatchel.
I'm new to the game so I don't know many of the bugs that do/did exist. I did reply back to Brad's email asking for confirmation on the effect of using "cuts off" and whether it means the alarm condition (as seen from when I then disarm it works) or if it truly is supposed to follow the cutoff timers and something just isn't right.

I'm curious to know if anyone else would see the same thing on their panel.....any guinea pigs???

I wonder if maybe it means when an alarm is acknowledged manually and not when the alarm sound stops. It may not be a bug but just poorly worded.

Did your strobe stop when you acknowledged the alarm, or when you actually disarmed it, first code or second?

First code (which would be disarm, right?) - so in effect it would be the same as using "arm state becomes disarmed" in the rules. Which then brings us back to the question of what is the purpose of "cuts off"?

....or is it just my panel

Is anyone willing to test? It could for anything; doesn't have to be for a strobe. Maybe voice or something - just temporarily set the burglar cutoff to 10 secs.

I would totally appreciate it

OK, I have an update....ready for this....

In communicating with Brad at Elk he stated that while "Whenever Any Alarm Cuts Off" is in the Elk RP rule engine it has not been implemented in the M1G. So how about that!!!

Now I don't want to sit here and complain because I do like my M1G and I am EXTREMELY greatful that I was able to get some help from the manufacturer - I just don't understand why that rule would be in the software for programming if it doesn't actually work
