I just installed the UPB572. Boy is this cool. I had several x10 rf tranmitters sitting around and now they control my UPB! And its Instant, no delay. I will have to pick up a keyfob.
Only complaint is I will have to find a slimline DB9 connector because you can't keep the PC config connector in with the UPB PIM connector. Wgdesigns put this in the same package as their other transceivers and it is the only one with 2 DB9s. Just not enough room for 2.

It requires a second PIM but Martin at Automated Outlet has a good deal when you bundle it with a PIM.

I've probably had 100 people look at and use my UPB switches in the year that I have had them, and I haven't had even one case that I know of where anyone has mentioned that they noticed or were bothered by a "switch delay." (Nor have I had even one of my 48 SA switches fail, although I did have one dead on install.)

since none of my switches are operated manually on a regular basis, we typically chalk up any delay to the motion detector or the w800. other than my ongoing intermittent powerline noise problems, no other complaints with upb.
