*** Uplink CDMAEZ Replacement for 4500EZ? Does it work the same way?

Wondering if Uplink CDMAEZ will work with M1G? Does it work the same way as 4500EZ? Any issues?
 
Uplink performed a system wide upgrade at the end of January which resulted in GSM with serial # starting with 100 or 101 cease to communicate. Solution is to replace the unit.
 
I am getting a CDMAEZ shipped to replace 4500EZ.
