US2-40 Will it work for 2 ceiling Fans?

I currently have some HAI upb switches, I want to put a switch to turn my fan on and off in my bedroom and I have two fans on the patio connected currently to a regular switch. Will the US2-40 be able to handle the two fans in the patio? Also, provided that it will work with the fans, they are three way switches, will a regular slave switch work?

Thanks

Q1 do you mean a US2-40 or a US22-40? You are talking about two different locations bedroom and patio so I am not sure.

I dont think we can answer the load question properly without knowing the ratings on your fans. In addition I use one of my US22-40's for my LR fan light combo, one side/channel controls each. But the fan is programmed for NO dimming, snap only. I would never control a fan on a dimmer.

Two patio fans should be well within the limits of the US240. I would put the switch in non-dim mode though. Yes, a regular SA slave switch will work with it.

Thanks for the replies, I meant a us2-40. Sorry for confusing you with the bedroom. Basically I will need one for the bedroom fan/light "non dimming mode" and one for the two outdoor fans/lights "non dimming mode also" In addition for the outdoor fans I will be needing a slave 3 way switch.

Another question, will this switch be able to operate on non dimming mode a switched outlet? It would probably be used for a light, but I was concerned about someone in the house plugging in a vacuum or something by accident.

Technically yes, but not recommended for the reason you stated. Outlets really should never be dimmed.

O.K. Maybe stupid question. You say you use HAI switches, so why not stick with the HAI relay switch here? I like SA switches best, but if you are already using HAI switches, why not use an HAI relay switch which is perfect for this application? Remember if you are using an HAI panel to program your switches (not UPStart) it won't work with SA switches.
