Vizia Scene Controller Issues

I have noticed two strange behaviors lately:

1) Master Bath controller... buttons 1-3 serve as different lighting levels of all loads here except the closet. My wife always wants that on at full, so i pulled it out of the associations for three after originally including it. Button 4 is all off and does include the closet. Scenario: all lights off, button 4 indicator is on. I turn on the closet light only. Button 4 indicator remains lit despite the fact that the associated "scene" is no longer 100% as defined. If i hit the button again, it indeed turns the closet light off, but the indicator light now goes off (when indeed the scene is 100% correct). Hit it again, nothing changes, but the indicator is on again...

2) Foyer controller.. similar buttons 1-3 serve as varying levels of lights around the house when we come home... Button 4 is all off and has virtually all devices assigned to it at level 0. Sometimes and i can't et pinpoit the seuence, we'll hit one of the buttons and it starts flashing, but doesn't stop. I can press the other four buttons and they all start flashing. I'm clueless here but it's the more annoying problem.

Anything i've missed before i ping leviton?

Brad,

1. I believe the scene controller buttons lights do not reflect the status of the controlled devices. I believe they are toggle only buttons press once to activate the scene ( and the scene button light does on. ) and press again to turn the scene off ( and the scene button light goes off ).
I am unsure if you use all Vizia RF devices if it works that same.

2. I use the zone controllers instead of scene controllers. When they are sending commands they blink, too many presses of other buttons and they all start blinking. If they have trouble controlling a device they blink red, and if you keep pressing buttons they all end up blink red.
I don't know if this applies to you, but I hope it helps.

Just my humble interpretations of how things work, not necessarily how they should work.

I just started playing with my zone controller and notice something similar. Seem like if "any part of a zone" is on, the button is lit?

I too have the fourth button associated to "all lights". If I have ANY devices in that "area" on, the button lights up. It is actually kinda cool. So my intepretation is that if a controller hears a "on/dim" command for a device that is on it's button list, the button is lit up saying that part of that scene/zone is active?

P.K.

For zone controllers, i could understand. but the very nature of a scene would indicate that shoudlnt' occur here (in my opinion).

And it only seems to happen when there are difference in the devices assigned to the four buttons. In my master bedroom, button 4 is all living area lights off. I hit it, turns green at night. And it turns off the minute i turn on the kitchen light in the morning.

I did some quick testing this morning...

last night we hit button four which turns off living area...
this morning i started turning on loads in that same scene

When i turned on the hall, "off" scene remains lit
When i turned on the living room, "off" scene remains lit
When i turned on then off either kitchen or office, the scen button stopped being lit.

So it seems to me that that turning off a device in a scene will make the controller see it as the scene is no longer active (even if that scene had the devices off to start with)... more tests to come...

I have 3 of the 4 button Zone Controllers, some of the buttons only control 1 device(load). And the LEDS never are updated by the device Changing manually.

Currently all my devices are non Vizia Devices, if you use vizia devices, does the LED's on the Zone controller get updated ?

Thanks

your's all all zone not scene?

My multi-buttons are all scene - single buttons are zone. The 1 zone controllers are already updated in virtual threeway (which is what i want / expect)... for me it's the scene that is behaving oddly. The next scene controller i install or after christmas when i free one up, i am going to test some things out...
